Show people yourname.com instead of debuto.app/yourname. You add one DNS record at the place where you bought the domain. Debuto does the rest, including the secure padlock.

What is a custom domain?
A domain is a web address you own, such as yourname.com. A custom domain makes your Debuto page open on that address. Visitors see your name in the address bar, and your page keeps everything else: your blocks, your design and your analytics.
How to connect it, in 4 steps

Own a domain
Buy one from any registrar (Namecheap, GoDaddy, Squarespace Domains, Aruba, OVH and so on). If you already have one, you are ready.

Add it in Debuto
Open Integrations, then Custom domain. Choose the page and type the address, for example yourname.com or www.yourname.com. Debuto shows the exact records to create.

Add the DNS records
In your registrar's DNS settings, add the records Debuto shows you. Copy each name and value exactly. Most registrars call this screen DNS, DNS records or Advanced DNS.

Wait for Connected
Debuto checks automatically every few minutes. When the status turns to Connected, your page is live on your domain and the certificate is active. You can press Check now at any time.

Debuto always shows your own values in Settings. This is what they look like.

Some registrars want the name without your domain (for example www instead of www.yourname.com). If a record is refused, try the short form.
www.yourname.com or yourname.com?
We recommend the www form, www.yourname.com: every registrar supports a CNAME record there. A bare domain such as yourname.com needs a CNAME-style record at the root, called CNAME flattening, ALIAS or ANAME. Cloudflare, Namecheap, Squarespace and many others offer it. If yours does not, use www and set your registrar to forward the bare domain to www.
How long does it take?
Usually a few minutes after the records are saved. DNS changes can occasionally take up to a few hours to spread. Nothing breaks while you wait: your debuto.app address keeps working until the new one is Connected.
What does it cost?
Nothing extra. Custom domains are included in Pro, Business and Studio. You only pay your registrar for the domain itself.
What happens behind the scenes
- HTTPS, automatically
- Debuto requests and renews a free certificate for your domain automatically. Renewals need no new DNS records, as long as your CNAME stays in place.
- One address, no duplicates
- When your domain is Connected, debuto.app/yourname redirects (301) to it, and your page tells search engines that your domain is the main address. That keeps your ranking in one place.
- Only you can connect your domain
- A domain works only after the DNS record proves you control it. Nobody else can attach your domain to their page, and you can only attach it to your own.
- If you leave Pro
- The domain is disconnected and your page stays available at debuto.app/yourname. Your DNS records are yours to remove.
Questions
Can I use a domain I bought somewhere else?
Yes. Any registrar works, because you only add DNS records. You do not transfer the domain.
Can I keep my email on the same domain?
Yes. We only ask for the records listed. Your MX and other email records stay as they are.
Can I connect several domains?
Each page can have one custom domain. Business and Studio have more pages, so more domains.
My status stays on Pending. What now?
Check that the name and value are copied exactly and that you do not have an old record with the same name. Then press Check now. Pending domains that are not verified within 7 days are released.
Can I use a subdomain like links.yourname.com?
Yes. Any subdomain works, with the same CNAME record.
Will my debuto.app link stop working?
It redirects to your domain while the domain is Connected. If you remove the domain, it serves your page again.
